The Time Is Now.

Ok, pre-warning… I know you’re probably sick of hearing about it but we’re going to talk COVID here. Because when it comes to sleep training, it is important! Let me explain…

There is a natural amount of anxiety and stress that comes along with parenthood. The to-do list only ever seems to get longer, while the days seemingly get shorter. Now add in a worldwide pandemic that continues to play a part in our lives, and a parent’s stress and anxiety levels increase drastically! We’re all functioning at a higher stress level during our day, so things that were easily brushed off before can now feel almost unbearable. Waking up numerous times each night or spending hours on end arguing with your toddler about why they don’t need another glass of water or that tenth potty break before bed just isn’t as easy to deal with anymore, nor should it have to be!

Now I know many places in Canada are experiencing another round of lockdowns which can actually be a positive when it comes to sleep training. Mainly, there are less activities and less socializing events that you have to go to. Trust me, in no way am I saying that the restrictions themselves are a positive, but when it comes to sleep training… it’s the perfect time to do it! Think of it as less scheduled activities that can overload your schedule, and more time at home to commit to overhauling your little ones sleep!

I don’t know about you but once this is all over I plan to spend A LOT of time travelling, camping, and visiting with friends and family. So why not get their sleep under control and have a baby or child who is able to travel well and adapt to those situations when you choose to do that.
